He was inducted into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 1998.
Another notable Don Garlits’ Racing Legend is Tom “The Mongoose” McEwen.
McEwen was an American race car driver who was best known for his drag racing career, which included 13 NHRA national event wins and six NHRA divisional event wins. McEwen was inducted into the International Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 1984.
